C-clips should be centered, never facing down or up at the opening. (I think that's right, someone just said that awhile ago on FB). Arrow points to the exhuast, yes. Don't tug it off hard, be gentle. Add 2 stroke oil with your finger on the piston's sides + on the inside of the cylinder so it slides in like butter. If it doesn't go in, don't force it, back out, try again.
Installing Piston Rings on the piston of a 4-stroke engine is very important task because a slight error can lead to leakage of compressed gases and Do you struggle with piston ring installation? Fear of breaking the rings? Fear no more. Here are proven methods for 'how to' install piston rings easily.
Compress the piston ring with your fingertips while sliding the cylinder over the piston. Otherwise it won't fit. Never turn the cylinder around while putting it on like that, only up or down. Remember to change out the base gasket if you can, make sure the cylinder is lined up with it so there's no leaks.
You sure its not the cylinder skit hitting the crank? You might of got one of those '40mm boss heads' I think thats what they were, I know you had to trim to fit lh/rc with non 40mm case, right? I don't know if it's hitting sleeve or piston.
Hmmmm maybe it is. So if I trim the skirt on sleeve it should work? Thank you for fast response pedguy. Any idea how much to trim?
Another question is on the intake stroke you don't see top of piston. Is this correct? The sleeve skirts are def longer than zenoah skirt.
